Health, it's in our blood!

Get insights into how your lifestyle impacts your health with Prix.
Using at-home test kits, we monitor key health indicators like cholesterol, liver function, hormones, and vitamin levels so you can keep track of your body’s well-being.

What we test for

Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in Australia. While some cholesterol is essential for your health, too much can affect your heart health. There are no symptoms for high cholesterol so regular checks are recommended.

Liver Function

Your liver health is a good indicator of your long-term health — it plays a role in immunity and removing toxins while also affecting everything from your energy levels and fitness to your mood and sleep.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D is really important for bone health, a strong immune system, sleep and energy levels. Your body makes Vitamin D when exposed to sunlight so deficiencies in autumn/winter are more likely.

Iron is an essential trace element that you mainly get from dietary sources. It's needed to produce red blood cells and carry oxygen throughout the body. Low iron is typically associated with fatigue, dizziness and anaemia.

Diabetes (HbA1c)

HbA1c is a marker used to assess average glucose levels over a period of time. The higher the HbA1c, the greater the risk of developing diabetes-related complications. In Australia it is said that 1-4 Australians over the age of 25 have pre-diabetes.

Female Hormones

Hormones are crucial to a woman's reproductive health. The main hormones affecting the menstrual cycle and fertility are produced by glands in the brain and by the ovaries.

Male Hormones

The basic male hormone profile is a unique and accurate analysis for the measurement of male hormones. As the body ages it is evident that particular hormones decline or fluctuate causing a variety of health conditions.

Cortisol Stress Test

This hormone profile is a non-invasive saliva test that serves as a reliable marker of stress response and a critical tool for revealing adrenal imbalances. Lifestyle, physical and psychological stresses put constant demands on the adrenal glands. If they become depleted adrenal fatigue or insufficiency may be experienced.

Our Doctors

All results from Prix are reviewed by local, licensed GPs to help you understand what your results mean.

While we track and monitor health indicators, when it comes to diagnosing conditions there's still no substitute for face-to-face interaction with your GP.

If any tests do flag as abnormal results our doctors will recommend you get in touch with your regular medical practitioner.

What is PRIX?

PRIX is an Australian start up founded in 2018.

Our mission is to develop a proactive health tracking system that lets you understand more about the impact of your lifestyle.

Do you replace GPs?

No! PRIX is not a replacement for your doctor.

What we want to do is help identify risk factors BEFORE you fall sick so that you and your doctor can stop problems becoming serious. We are not a diagnostic tool.

Is my data safe?

Yes PRIX takes privacy very seriously.

We make sure that your data is kept secure and not shared with anyone it shouldn’t be.

Is PRIX a lab?

No we are independent from our measurement partners.

We use a network of accredited pathology labs across Australia who use the latest, most accurate technology.

Can't I just get these tests from my GP?

Yes, you can - and if you are feeling sick or concerned about your health we encourage you to go see your GP first. We complement the public health service, allowing you to track key health markers in between GP visits from the comfort of home - so that you can build a better picture of baseline health. If any risk factors are picked up by our tests, you can go discuss these with your GP earlier than if you had never been tested.

Why is my collection kit not Prix branded?

To offer the broadest range of tests possible we use a mix of our own collection kits and those from some of Australia's top pathology providers. All results are still reviewed by Prix’s GPs and reported through our online dashboard.

Can I claim on MEDICARE?

Unfortunately not. This is a private service and not covered by the Medicare rebate.
